I lead the effort to build, scale, and deploy the
PWFDF Collection,
the USGS's official postfire debris-flow (PFDF) hazard assessment product. Over my tenure,
I've modernized this product from a collection of unpublished legacy scripts
to a production-grade, open-source software stack. These improvements have allowed
us to scale these assessments to a publicly-released, national hazard product, complete
with a strict data specification and access API.
